A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Noreen Yazvac embraced art as a childhood hobby but her formal art education began with a high school art teacher. Later, she studied painting under artists Celeste Moran, Cherie Mohn, Christopher Leeper, and Tom Antonishak. She graduated with a BA in art history and studio art from Youngstown State University.
“My passion for nature is very inspiring and energizing and I feel the need to convey this feeling to others,” says the artist. “Using vibrant colors and various mediums it is my goal to portray and capture the beauty of the world around me. When my paintbrush expressions bring joy to others, I am fulfilled as an artist.” Noreen’s work can be purchased at Gallery on the Glen, and at Boardman Frame House, both in Youngstown, Ohio.
